ST. LOUIS – Light snowfall could affect Monday morning’s commute, as weather more typical for mid-January sticks around through Tuesday.
A clipper system ejects out of the northern plains Sunday evening and brings us the potential for another round of snow on Monday. And while it won’t be nearly as much snow as Saturday’s system, it will impact portions of the area during the Monday morning commute.
Minor accumulations of dusting to a half inch are possible. Untreated roads and refreezing overnight will cause slick spots and hazardous travel.
Even though accumulations will be light, it could potentially be a high-impact event. By Monday afternoon, the snow will have disappeared, leaving us with the cold.
The only bit of relief will be on Wednesday, with highs near 50 degrees.
