Cold weather and light snow are expected to arrive tonight in the St. Louis region. Cloudy skies will remain all morning before partially clearing in the afternoon. The high will remain in the low-to-mid 30s, continuing a stretch of cold temperatures.
A weak clipper system is expected to roll in Sunday night, bringing with it flurries and light snow in the early hours of Monday morning. Snowfall is expected between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m., which may create slippery conditions on the road. Officials are urging drivers to drive with caution, as even light snow can cause reduced traction on untreated roads.
Temperatures are expected to remain below seasonal averages through Tuesday, with highs in the 30s and lows plunging into the teens. Forecasters predict Monday will be the coldest day of the year so far.
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather updates and plan for additional travel time during Monday’s commute.
