A St. Louis woman has been sentenced to five years of probation and 40 hours of community service for stealing government benefits intended for her deceased grandmother.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Sarah E. Pitlyk ordered Shamari Jackson, 33, to repay the $13,047 in Social Security benefits she accessed fraudulently.
