Police have released images of a man suspected of fatally shooting an Illinois city worker in her driveway.
On Tuesday morning the Collinsville Police Department responded to a report of shots fired around 6 a.m. at a homes in Collinsville. Upon arrival police discovered the body of 32-year-old Portia Rowland outside in the driveway.
Rowland was an employee of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. The unexpected shooting has left Collinsville residents in disbelief. “Scary, my heart is pounding. This is close; this hit home. I’ve been here 50 years now and I’m like, ‘Oh my,’ I can look out my window and see this stuff,” Sharilyn Lyerla told Fox2now.com .
Sierra Payne, a local, said she actually woke up to the gunfire. “Three shots back to back, I woke up to them,” she said. “It is scary; it’s really crazy to think that there are people out there that would do that.”…
