A distinguished, new wooden bench in front of the Kirkwood American Legion Memorial Post 156 building provides a fresh way to honor and support local military veterans.
Family members and those in the community can commemorate anyone who served in the U.S. Armed Forces by purchasing customized veterans’ memorial plates at $250 each to add to the bench. Located in Kirkwood at 314 S. Clay Ave., each donor plate is planned to be 4-by-5 inches and made with weather-proof metal.
