St. Louis pancake location making a comeback with help of local groups

ST. LOUIS – Not long ago, St. Louisans were saying goodbye to a beloved pancake eatery that stood along South Kingshighway Boulevard for over six decades. A surprising announcement came Monday that, with a little help from some friends, Uncle Bill’s Pancake House in south St. Louis is returning.

The Golden Hoosier, a restaurant and bar less than a mile away from the old Uncle Bill’s location, posted a video on social media disclosing the news that the teams from their restaurant, Bud’s Pizza & Beer, and Garcia Properties have worked together to bring the pancake spot back.

“It’s been part of the neighborhood for decades, and now it’s time to add a new chapter to its story,” the social media post said . “We’re honored to be good stewards of this iconic restaurant.”
