The story in question was about an investigation into the St. Louis Development Corporation, an independent economic development agency, and how it handled COVID loans.
The CBS affiliate issued a retraction and told its viewers that it had pasted an interview from the SLDC CEO, making it look like he was talking about the investigation, when he was actually talking about the agency’s Black History Month efforts from an interview held on another day…
