Missouri Facility Suddenly Shutting Down – 72 Will Lose Jobs

We’re barely a month and a half into 2025 and there are already numerous plants and manufacturing facilities closing including a new alert notifying the state that 72 will lose their jobs in Missouri in April.

The Missouri Jobs site now lists a new WARN notice from a large company that has decided to suddenly close at least 4 facilities including one in St. Louis, Missouri. International Paper Company will be closing their building located at 5300 Bircher Boulevard in St. Louis with 72 workers to be laid off effective April 14, 2025.

Packaging Dive confirmed the news reporting that the company is trying to streamline their production which will also include 3 other facilities being closed by mid-April. Marketwatch says these layoffs are vast and will mean a total of 495 workers will be let go by the company along with 179 salaried employees…
