International Paper cutting hundreds of jobs nationwide

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis-based International Paper is closing down four facilities across the United States, which will lead to more than 600 employees losing their jobs.

The company announced Thursday it is closing the Red River containerboard mill in Campti, Louisiana, its recycling plant in Phoenix, Arizona, a box plant in Hazleton, Pennsylvania and a sheet feeder facility in St. Louis, Missouri.

Each of these locations will cease operations by the end of April 2025…
