ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4)— The New Life Evangelistic Center handed out fliers with a call to action for residents in downtown St. Louis on Friday.
The group has three main demands for St. Louis City leaders:
- A warming bus on the corner of Chestnut and 14th Street when the temperatures drop below 30 degrees
- City shelters to open, and the warming bus to take them there
- The city to take down the fences, which they said is meant to keep the homeless out, around City Hall and some downtown parks
An official within the St. Louis City Department of Human Resources told First Alert 4 that the city is committed to helping its most vulnerable people, and its main focus is accommodating housing for those in shelters…
