‘I’m outraged’: Shooting of 72-year-old man at stoplight leaves St. Louis neighbors reeling

ST. LOUIS — People who live near North Kingshighway and Thekla Avenue in north St. Louis are furious after hearing what happened to a 72-year-old man. The Mark Twain Neighborhood is also not far Calvary Cemetery near West Florissant Avenue and North Kingshighway Boulevard.

“I’m outraged, extremely. Not only is he an innocent man, but a senior citizen,” said Carla Reid, the president of the Mark Twain Neighborhood Association.

“It’s real sad what happed happened to this man. People are getting impatient and just can’t wait,” said Pastor Rodney Weekly of North Side Church of Christ…
