Man faces 57 charges for car break-ins in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A Pagedale man faces is accused of a month-long stretch of car break-ins in and around downtown St. Louis in late 2024.

According to Sgt. Sean Mazzola, a spokesman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), investigators have linked Eugene Jamison III, 22, to nearly five dozen car break-ins from Nov. 8, 2024, to Dec. 10, 2024.

Police said Jamison, operating in a zone around downtown, broke into dozens of vehicles parked outside businesses at the following locations:

  • Nov. 8: 2101 Chouteau Ave. (Downtown West)
  • Nov. 21: 2600 Chouteau Ave. (The Gate)
  • Nov. 29: 600 North 14th St. (Downtown West)
  • Dec. 3: 811 Spruce St. (Downtown)
  • Dec. 4: N. 14th St. and Washington Ave. (Downtown West)
  • Dec. 5: 1401 Washington Ave. (Downtown West)
  • Dec. 7: 1911 Locust St. (Downtown West)
  • Dec. 10: 811 Spruce St. (Downtown), 101 N. Memorial (Downtown), 1615 S. Broadway (Koscuskio), 750 S. Broadway, and 300 N. 4th Street (Downtown)
