Former police officer who admitted to firing shots at Kirkwood trunk-or-treat event sentenced

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A former St. Louis County police officer who is the son of a former top St. Louis County official was sentenced Thursday, months after pleading guilty to firing shots at a 2023 elementary school Halloween event in Kirkwood.

Matthew McCulloch was sentenced Thursday to five years of probation by Judge Ellen Ribaudo. He had pleaded guilty to six counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of making a terroristic threat, and one count of unlawful use of a weapon in January.
