18-Year-Old in Stable Condition After Early Morning Shooting in St. Louis’ Baden Neighborhood

An 18-year-old male is currently stable after reportedly being shot yesterday morning in the Baden neighborhood. The shooting occurred just after 4:45 AM on the 900 block of Switzer, according to a statement by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Officers who arrived on the scene found the young man injured in the lower part of his body at the back of a residence.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, provided a preliminary statement to the authorities. He claimed to have been standing outside the residence when he suddenly began to hear gunshots, which was shortly followed by a sensation of pain in his lower body. “The male stated he ran to the rear of the house and began calling for help,” as indicated in a report by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly responded to the call and transported the victim to a local hospital. He was last reported to be in a critical but stable condition. As of now, further details regarding his health status have not been disclosed to the public…
