Mammoth New Truck Stop Just Opened on this Spot in Missouri

It’s no secret that Missouri is the crossroads of America for over-the-road trucks. Now, there’s a mammoth new truck stop that’s just opened on what used to be a vacant spot next to one of the busiest highways in the state.

I just saw CDL Life mention that a new truck stop is open for business near Charleston, Missouri. Love’s Travel Stops shared the details on their Facebook/Meta page recently.

This is what that location looked like just over a year ago according to Google Maps Street View.

Compare that to the pictures shared by Loves Travel Stop on social media and you’ll see how far they’ve come to get to this day when it’s open for business. Having 76 truck parking spaces is convenient considering how many big rigs travel down I-57 in Missouri and depend on that part of the state for either a refresher or sleep stop. The University of Missouri Extension Service estimated that Missouri’s highway system has supported more than 40 million truck trips.
