Missouri has confirmed case of measles

TANEY COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4)—The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has announced a confirmed case of measles in a visitor to Taney County.

The case, which is associated with international travel, is in a child whose vaccination status has not been verified. DHSS said there is no indication of widespread exposure because the child was diagnosed soon after arriving in the county. Anyone who may have been exposed has been identified and contacted.

This is the first confirmed case of measles in Missouri in 2025. Last year, Missouri saw two confirmed measles cases, and the year before, there was only one case…
