ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after two armed robberies that occurred in north St. Louis, one at a gas station and another near an ATM on the street.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), one of the recent robberies took place around 10:40 p.m. on Monday at a Phillips 66 gas station, located on the 4900 block of Union, in north St. Louis’ Mark Twain.
Police say two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the station and went behind the cashier’s counter to steal money from the register, along with tobacco products. The suspects also attempted to get the employee to open a safe but fled when they were unsuccessful, police said…
