Final suspect captured in Granite City case

37-year-old Brittany Howard of St. Louis has been taken into custody. She is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and armed robbery in a Major Case Squad investigation last month. The body of 58-year-old Kenneth Whitehorn was found near Alton Street and Pontoon Road on April 24.

She was captured by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Already in custody and charged are 41-year-old DeWayne Franklin of St. Louis, charged with first degree murder, felon in possession of a weapon and aggravated unlawful possession of weapons. 75-year-old Michael McCollum of Florissant is charged with obstructing justice and aggravated unlawful possession of weapons…
