Man electrocuted during enclosure theft attempt in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A man was left dead overnight Monday morning after being electrocuted while breaking into an enclosure for electrical equipment in south St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. at an electrical unit in Carondelet Park, near Interstate 55 and Loughborough Avenue, in south St. Louis.

The incident occurred after a man broke through three doors of an electrical equipment enclosure in the park, according to police.
