ST. LOUIS – Ten people now face federal charges in a RICO conspiracy linked to a series of violent crimes, including dozens of car thefts and multiple shootings, across the St. Louis region.
A RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) conspiracy charge generally involves participation in racketeering or a criminal enterprise through a pattern of illegal activity.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, as of Thursday, the following individuals have been charged:
- Montez Moore, 20, of Florissant
- Duane Benson, 20, of St. Louis
- Sniya Sheperd, 20, of St. Louis County
- Brandon Irons, 19
- Allen Brown, 23
- Markaveon Jackson, 19
- Raynell Moore, 22
- Lavatrice McCully-Collins, 24
- Peontay Roddy, 21
- Noah Hornburg, 23
