Ten charged in RICO conspiracy linked to car thefts and violent crimes around St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – Ten people now face federal charges in a RICO conspiracy linked to a series of violent crimes, including dozens of car thefts and multiple shootings, across the St. Louis region.

A RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) conspiracy charge generally involves participation in racketeering or a criminal enterprise through a pattern of illegal activity.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, as of Thursday, the following individuals have been charged:

  • Montez Moore, 20, of Florissant
  • Duane Benson, 20, of St. Louis
  • Sniya Sheperd, 20, of St. Louis County
  • Brandon Irons, 19
  • Allen Brown, 23
  • Markaveon Jackson, 19
  • Raynell Moore, 22
  • Lavatrice McCully-Collins, 24
  • Peontay Roddy, 21
  • Noah Hornburg, 23
