Gov. Kehoe’s veto of $300 million in earmarks prompts reaction

ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) — Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe signed the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) state operating and capital improvement budget bills on Monday. The governor also trimmed more than $300 million from the budget through the veto of more than 200 earmarks.

The list of cuts includes $7 million toward a new terminal at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The governor also vetoed $1 million that was earmarked for the St. Louis City Justice Center.
