ST. LOUIS – Dozens of teenagers were arrested in St. Louis city during the 4th of July weekend.
After increasing enforcement for the 4th of July, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) announced over 86 arrests, which included 58 juveniles.
“These are our children as well. We really want to drive them and guide them towards hope instead of handcuffs. Hope instead of handcuffs,” said Police Chief Robert Tracy of SLMPD.
