Abandoned cars, no action leaves residents furious

ST. LOUIS – Residents in a south St. Louis neighborhood are frustrated with blight issues and a lack of city action, as complaints about a white Impala parked since January continue to pile up.

The vehicle, which has no windshield and spray-painted windows, sits unmoved in front of a vacant home on Pennsylvania Avenue and Pestalozzi, a property linked to past crime, including a fatal shooting of a young boy months ago.

Jessica Shields, a resident who has lived in the area for two years, says she is moving due to the ongoing issues.
