Tragedy struck The Greater Ville neighborhood on the evening of July 8, when a man was found dead, the result of a shooting incident. In a brief statement released late last night, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that homicide detectives are in the throes of an investigation after responding to a call just past 7:20 p.m. in the 3100 block of Vine Grove Avenue, as reported by the department’s official release.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found an adult male lying on the ground, suffering from what appeared to be a puncture wound to his head. Emergency Medical Services were promptly called to the scene and the man was pronounced dead.
