ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. – At least two juveniles are in custody and one suspect remains at large after an armed carjacking led to a high-speed police chase near Belleville overnight Friday.
The carjacking occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Adeline Lane, involving a white Dodge Challenger. During the pursuit, at least one suspect fled in the Challenger, while at least two other suspects remained in a dark-colored vehicle.
The white Dodge Challenger was stopped shortly after the carjacking on Anderson Lane, not far from where the incident began, but the suspect managed to escape. Police conducted an active search for the suspect using resources like canines, but the suspect is still at large…
