St. Louis man accused of setting victim on fire held without bond

ST. LOUIS – A man is charged with setting one person on fire and threatening to do the same to another in a Midtown apartment.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the attack happened on July 14 in the 2900 block of Delmar Boulevard.

Police said Lawrence Black, 50, sprayed an accelerant on one victim and used a lighter to burn their shirt and hair.
