ST. LOUIS – No serious injuries were reported Wednesday morning after four teenagers were taken into custody following an overnight police pursuit that ended with a crash in north St. Louis.
The pursuit began around 12:30 a.m. when St. Louis City’s license plate reader identified a car that had been carjacked on Tuesday. According to officials, authorities from the Real Time Crime Center alerted officers to be on the lookout for the vehicle.
When police got behind the vehicle and it did not stop, officers pursued the stolen vehicle on westbound I-70. The pursuit lasted over half an hour, moving into north St. Louis County before returning back into north St. Louis City. The pursuit involved the city police, St. Louis County Police, and Metro Air Support.

The incident concluded at Lillian and Plover Avenues in north St. Louis, where the suspects’ vehicle crashed into a utility pole.
