ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge signed an arrest warrant for an 18-year-old accused of killing another teen nearly two weeks ago in the city’s Walnut Park East neighborhood.
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the shooting happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 11. Officers responded to a call for a shooting near Lillian and Beacon avenues.
Police arrived to find the victim, Elijah Hughes, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Hughes was rushed to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was 16.
