ST. LOUIS – Wednesday shaped up to be one of the hottest days of the year in St. Louis, right at the tail end of an extreme heat warning. So naturally, FOX 2 decided to make the most of it… With a little experiment!
Around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, FOX 2 placed several popular snacks and treats inside the dashboards of two parked cars to see just how much the summer heat can do. Could chocolate chip cookies actually bake? Would a frozen party pizza and mozzarella sticks soften and sizzle? And what about classic S’mores – Would they melt into gooey perfection?
FOX 2 tested each of these four food items by leaving them inside cars for about five hours during typical peak high-temperature hours…
