ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis police detective shot and killed a person Thursday afternoon in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood during an investigation into an overnight carjacking.
The shooting happened near the intersection of North 20th and Salisbury streets, shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to Major Janice Bockstruck, a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman.
