ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Union machinists rejected Boeing’s final contract offer on Sunday and will begin a strike.
The previous contract the union was under expired last week and covered more than 3,200 workers at Boeing locations in St. Louis and St. Charles Counties and Mascoutah, Illinois.
Boeing sent the union its “best and final offer” on Thursday, which included a 20% pay increase over the four-year contract, removed a controversial work schedule change and added a 50-cent per hour pay increase to those at the top of the scale with good attendance…
