This is Cobalt’s story; on Wednesday he was promised a happy future, and rescuers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis are making sure his terrible past is being swept way behind him.
Cobalt was found in an area of rural Missouri. Apparently the pup had been crying in pain. The people who found him believed he had been shot in the back of his neck.
Rescuers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis were contacted shortly after Cobalt was discovered lying in the field. The Good Samaritans, who found him, knew time was of the essence, and they gently picked the dog up and loaded him into their car and met the rescuers halfway in Farmington; two hours from St. Louis.
And then it was the rushed transport to their partner clinic. No doubt Cobalt had been in need of emergency help if he was going to survive…
