ST. LOUIS—Two movies in production written by homegrown Saint Louis talent are seeking paid extras for scenes that are being filmed around the area this month and next.
Joni Tackette Casting (JTC) is searching for extras for a romantic comedy starring and written by Iliza Shlesinger, a St. Louis-grown comedian/actress. The casting call seeks people 15 years or older for the comedy tentatively titled Summer 2001. Extras will portray high school students, Honky Tonk Bar cowboys and line dancers, townspeople and more. This movie is being directed by Josephine Decker, who’s directed over 10 productions in the last 10 years, including the 2020 Sundance Film Festival award winner: Shirley.
