St. Louis postal audit shows problems

A just-completed audit of several St. Louis mail facilities has uncovered “systemic issues” according to the United States Postal Service’s Inspector General. Those issues show one center breaking a record for the largest delayed mail backlog in USPS field audit history.

That would be at the St. Louis Processing and Distribution Center, which according to the audit had more than 2.5 million delayed pieces of mail between June 3-4.
