ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – More than a dozen puppies have a warm place to sleep tonight thanks to the quick thinking of a St. Louis couple who reported seeing something suspicious last Friday.
According to the couple, a truck driving on I-55 near Arnold pulled over onto the shoulder and unloaded a box, before driving off. The couple pulled over to see what was inside and discovered 16 puppies that were hot and confused.
They took the dogs to Stray Rescue in St. Louis, where staff members determined the dogs were from two different litters. The puppies range in age from four to eight weeks old and some are underweight and malnourished…
