Drake’s Come Play has closed its Richmond Heights location (8135 Dale) after 18 months in business. A company representative confirmed that the last day of service was August 23.
No official closing statement has been issued, but SLM did receive the following email from Leela Atchison, Director of Marketing: “After much thought and careful consideration, the decision was made to close the Drake’s Richmond Heights location. While we regret the closing of this location, we are grateful to continue serving the St Louis market through our Shiloh, IL and O’Fallon, MO locations. We are deeply appreciative for the support our guests, team members, and community have provided and hope to cross paths again at another Drake’s location.”
Owned by Bluegrass Hospitality Group, Drake’s operates 28 restaurants across the Midwest and Southeast. The concept is known for its broad menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and steaks, alongside a full sushi lineup, which is “a big part of our business,” Drake’s COO Mark Thornburg previously told SLM.
