Police are on the lookout for a male suspect involved in a shooting at a Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood store last week. The incident took place last Wednesday morning. Officers received a call at approximately 9:40 a.m. regarding shots fired at the local Price Chopper store, located on the 2700 block of Goodfellow, as confirmed by St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The confrontation began after a store employee asked the suspect to remove his face mask while approaching the cashier’s counter. The request quickly escalated into a refusal to provide service once the suspect declined to comply. According to a preliminary investigation, the agitated suspect left the store but not before he decided to fire several shots into the establishment. Fortunately, no one was struck by the gunfire during this harrowing incident.
