Churches vigilant following Minneapolis mass shooting; local business offers free security training

ST. PETERS, Mo. — Safety remains top of mind for church leaders across the St. Louis area following a shooting last week at a Catholic school in Minneapolis that killed two children and injured 18 others.

TJ Kirgin, the owner of Tactical Sh*t in St. Peters, wants to ensure all places of worship have a plan in place for the worst-case scenario.

“It is important because it’s the new normal. And it’s so unfortunate that it’s the new normal. Bad guys will always find a way to do bad things. What we need to do as a society is trying to treat the problem before it happens,” he said…
