Teenager pleads guilty to 2024 St. Louis shooting that left woman with a brain injury

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A teenager has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to a 2024 shooting in St. Louis.

In a St. Louis court on Tuesday, Deshawn Lydell Snider, 19, pleaded guilty to first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree property damage. He has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

According to authorities, Snider fired a gun from the rear driver-side passenger seat of a dark four-door sedan near South Jefferson Avenue and Park Avenue during the early morning hours of June 23, 2024. The bullet struck the driver of the SUV in the head, causing a brain injury…
