A fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Gravois and South Compton Avenues on Monday, resulting in one death and one injury. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) released details of the crash involving a motorcycle, a pedestrian, and a stationary vehicle.
A 19-year-old man was attempting to cross Gravois Avenue around 9:50 p.m. when he was struck by a westbound Yamaha motorcycle, which had the green light. Real Time Crime Center cameras documented the circumstances of the crash. The impact caused the motorcycle to swerve into oncoming traffic and collide with a Dodge Dakota stopped in the left turn lane.
