Two Missouri men plead guilty in fentanyl conspiracy case

Two Missouri men have admitted their roles in a wide-reaching drug trafficking scheme involving fentanyl and other controlled substances.

Dennis M. Davis, 47, entered a guilty plea Thursday to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, including fentanyl. His co-defendant, Shem J. Guy, 34, pleaded guilty to the same conspiracy charge in June. Court documents show both men acknowledged participating in a drug operation that stretched back to at least 2019.

According to investigators, Drug Enforcement Administration agents intercepted conversations between Davis, Guy, and others about the purchase and distribution of narcotics. On Sept. 6, 2023, agents executed a court-authorized search at a residence linked to Davis in St. Louis. The search uncovered $12,323 in cash, four rifles, two pistols, a money counter, and large quantities of illegal drugs. Recovered items included 4.9 kilograms of fentanyl, nearly a pound of marijuana, 285 grams of heroin, 168 grams of cocaine, 127 grams of cocaine base, and 137 grams of methamphetamine.
