A top official exits St. Louis mayor’s office

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer’s top communications official, Beverly Isom, has left the mayor’s office, a mayoral spokesperson confirmed Monday.

“I would like to thank Beverly for answering the call to serve the City of St. Louis, especially during an unusually tumultuous and arduous time,” Spencer said in a statement. “I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Remaining in the mayor’s communications office is Spencer’s deputy director of communications, Rasmus Jorgensen, a stayover from former Mayor Tishaura Jones’ administration. Jorgensen indicated Monday he was not interested in Isom’s role, called director of communications…
