Business leaves window boarded up after crime, sending a message to the city

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A downtown business owner says repeated crimes have cost him thousands of dollars, and now he’s leaving his broken windows unrepaired as a message to city leaders.

Corey James, who co-owns Buddy’s Wine Bar along Washington Avenue, says he’s been in the downtown business scene for more than 16 years.

“I’ve been downtown 16, 17 years. We’re definitely more of a prominent place downtown, we’re on a great corner, we’re very visible,” James said…
