St. Louis, MO – Police in St. Louis have arrested multiple people this month in separate theft cases involving copper piping and utility wire, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Earlier this month, District 5 officers responded to 911 calls from the 5300 block of Savoy Court regarding theft from a vacant apartment building damaged by May’s tornado. Police say a 49-year-old man and a 34-year-old man allegedly used burglary tools to steal copper piping from the basement of the structure.
Roughly a week later, District 4 officers intercepted a stolen U-Haul truck near the 3700 block of North 11th Street. Inside, officers discovered about 200 feet of utility wire that investigators determined had just been stolen…
