One Dead, Two Injured in Shooting in St. Louis’s Greater Ville Neighborhood, Police Seek Suspect

Tragedy unfolded in The Greater Ville neighborhood on Sunday, where a shooting left one man dead and two others injured. Authorities were alerted to the gunfire around 9 p.m. by calls and ShotSpotter activations at North Taylor & Cottage Avenues, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

There was evidential signs of the shooting discovered in the 4500 block of Cottage Avenue. Later, a local hospital reported three men, aged 39, 40, and 35, had been admitted with gunshot wounds connected to the incident. Tony Glover, a 39-year-old from Florissant, MO, succumbed to his injuries, leaving his community to mourn and question the senselessness of the violence.

Homicide detectives are piecing together what led to this act of violence, with an unknown suspect or suspects firing from a dark-colored vehicle suspected of involvement.
