Stacked STL now open in the CWE

The wait is finally over for burger lovers in the Central West End. Stacked STL (400 N. Euclid), the popular restaurant that originated in the Carondelet neighborhood, has officially opened its doors on the corner of Euclid and McPherson Avenues. The restaurant quietly opened to the public on September 17, promising the same creative burgers, fries, appetizers, and cocktails that have earned the brand raving fans over the past 13 years.

This is the second location for Stacked STL, which had been serving up its gourmet burgers since it first opened in Carondelet in 2012. Owned by husband and wife Matt and Laura Windisch and their business partner, Sam Siebenman, the restaurant has developed a loyal following over the years, thanks to its chef-driven menu of cooked-to-temperature, customizable burgers. In opening an additional spot in the Central West End, the partners hope to gain even more fans while breathing new life into the again-vibrant corner of the neighborhood.

“Everyone—both the people and the businesses in the neighborhood—have been very welcoming,” says Matt Windisch. “This used to be the corner in the Central West End, but a lot of things have happened over the years. When COVID got off people’s minds, the fire happened across the street, and then the tornado came through, which caused chaos. Everyone is just hoping to have some cool stuff stay around. In a neighborhood like this, it takes a lot of hands.”

Stacked STL will be open daily from 11 a.m.–10 p.m., with the exception of Tuesday, when it will open at 4 p.m. The bar will remain open every day until 11 p.m. Here’s what to know before you go…
