Maplewood History: Let’s Go Get Stoned! (Again)

Nine years ago, I posted a six part series called Let’s Go Get Stoned! Even though fall isn’t here yet, it is still a wonderful time of the year to take walks through our lovely town. If you do this regularly or even if you don’t, perhaps you would like this guide to some of the interesting stonework that exists within our borders.

This grand staircase on the east side of the pool/library building contains some of Maplewood’s best stonework.

This staircase with the graceful curve is just west of the pool/library building.

Close observation will reveal the mason’s handwork with his bush hammer that shaped the stone…
