VA nurses react to shutdown: ‘We want paychecks’

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – As the federal government shutdown drags on, Veterans Affairs nurses in St. Louis say they are still showing up for work — even if their paychecks may be delayed.

“I… I don’t know if I’m going to get paid next week,” said Dan Szyman, a certified addictions registered nurse at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
