Carondolet Park supporters hire herd of goats to chow down on invasive plants

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A group of four-legged foresters was nibbling away at a brushy mess in Carondolet Park.

A handful of goats are penned up for the next few days in the park’s bird sanctuary area, where honeysuckle and other invasive plants had taken over.

Hannah Erlich, part of the Friends of Carondolet Park group promoting beautification and placemaking efforts, said keeping up with the volume of brush in the area was a long and challenging undertaking for volunteer groups working at the park…
