St. Louis Police investigating fatal shooting near SLU; 1 injured

ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of one man in Midtown on Monday.

Officials told FOX 2 there was an argument around 7 p.m. at a parking lot, which then escalated to gunfire, resulting in two shot in the 3800 block of Laclede Avenue.

SLMPD says one of the men who was shot died from his injuries. Police say the other victim showed up at a hospital in the area. Officials say the exact age of the victims is unknown at this time, but they are believed to be around 16-20 years old.
